Herbalife Review

This summer I joined a local weight loss challenge sponsored by HERBALIFE. I went each week and weighed in and I kept a food journal, plus I met with my coach every week. I did this with two of my friends Diane and Becca but while they lost I yoyoed up and down the scale.

The truth is I wasn’t doing enough to make the weight come off but now I’m in my 2nd challenge. This time its working and I’m losing weight and inches. I’m doing it with my friends Becca and Kristie, my friends are a great support system.  What’s the difference this time? HERBALIFE

I got started with their protien pies, which you make from their protien shake, milk and pudding. These are meant to be a meal replacement and they really do fill you up. Theres recipies for all kinds of flavors. I do 2 pies a day, alternating which meal I have with regular food. Right now I’m having Pumpkin Protien Pie.

1 cup Herbalife Vanilla Meal Shake

2 cups milk

1 cup

pumpkin mix

1 pkg vanilla pudding

serving size – 1/2 cup this last for several days.

I am trying their Cell Activator, this helps to renew your system so it will keep the good nutrients and help you lose weight. Still have yet to decide if it works. They have other products such as Cell-u-Loss ( which deals with inches),protien powder, snack defense, total control, herbal tea and even beauty products.

The information for these products can be found at their website: http://www.herbalife.com/

My personal coach I have for the challenge is awesome, we go over my food log and exercise for the week ( which includes cycling, weights and walking). She uses the products right along with us and has lost weight.

For those who live in Michigan they have a shake shop which sells the shakes for just $5 or you can get it for free by doing a shape scan which just tells you how much calories and protien you need, an evaluation. Its located at

Whole Lotta Shakes   215 S Dettman Rd, Jackson, MI. My coach is in ther on fridays but they are open M-Sat

America lost an classic actor that affected generations of people and touched millions. Patrick Swayze lost his battle with Pancreatic Cancer at the age of 57.

Swayze was born in Texas in the 1950’s. He went to college with a gymnastic scholarship. He grew up with dance, his father being a choreographer. Swayze began to study dance early on, eventually working with the prestigious Harkness and Joffrey Ballet companies. He made his professional debut as a dancer with the lead role of Prince Charming in a traveling company of Disney on Parade.

He did a brief time on Broadway in Grease before going on to television guest spots including Mash. His movie career started with The Outsiders in 1983. Then starring in the epic television mini series North and South 1985.

Swayze hit the bigtime roles in Dirty Dancing and Ghost, both delivered memorable performances. He wrote and preformed the song ” Shes like the Wind ” from Dirty Dancing. His tough guy image came out in Road House and then Point Break.

Swayze was married to Lisa Niemi from June 12, 1975 until his death. The couple first met in 1970 when Swayze was 18 years old. Niemi, 14 years old at the time, was taking dance lessons from Swayze’s mother.

5K in Stockbridge -Able to Run Event

Today I did a major accomplishment for me, I competed in a 5K ( 3 mile) walk/run event. I walked the 3 mile course through stockbridge. The path wound through downtown stockbridge and back to the high school track.

Along the way I saw people I knew people from school and church. They were encouraging and helped me keep going even when the course got tiring. When I started the walk I was in 5th place and my competitive nature was in high gear, but God had other plans for me, he showed me that it doesn’t matter what place I was in but that I finished the walk and did it.

He finally got his point across when several people passed me taking me out of the top 10, but I am proud of myself I did around 15 min at each mile marker and finished the walk in 49 min, placing me as the 15th place walker( so thats in the top 20 walkers).

To me this is an accomplishment because to walk that far and also with my ankle injury it was a miracle to me just to be walking again and be able to withstand that much walking. Its been a uphill battle that I’m winning with my injury. each day I get stronger and able to be a new improved me who is more active and able to accomplish things.

Animals Need Our Love

Recently I started vollunteering again at a nearby humane society, they have dogs, cats, puppies and kittens. They have a very high adoption rate and lots of vollunteers as well as a well run facility, with a great staff and an on site vet.

Humane societies and shelters are home to many animals who lost their loving homes. they need our love and a new home. Many of these animals are well behaved and gorgeous animals that need a second chance to have a forever family.

I love animals, this is why I have been a petsitter for 5 years now ever since I graduated college. A neighbor friend of ours was going out of town for a famiy reunion so she hired my mom and me to petsit for her dog and cat. It was then that I realized how much I enjoyed doing that job of caring for someone else’s beloved pets while they were gone. I have been blessed these past 5 years to have wonderful clients and animals that give me unconditional love and are thrilled to see me.

When I vollenteer I feel like I am helping the animals there and hoping that one day they will get adopted, while I was there two dogs were adopted. The family of parents and two kids were excited, the kids held the dogs for the photo and it was a joy to see that event happen.

Some great sites for adoption are : http://www.petfinder.com and http://www.adoptapet.com

More animals need to be adopted as well as needing to be spade and neutered so we can avoid the problem of overpopulation of animals who end up being abandoned and wanting a new home. If you can please open up your home and heart to an animal, you won’t regret it.
