Giving a amazing massage

January 5, 2010

Today’s lesson is on giving a great massage to your signficant other, a massage is a good way to get to their heart. This lesson comes from IVillage and the full information can be found at :http://love.ivillage.com/slideshow/love/simple_manmelting_massage_techniques/?nlcid=ls|12-17-2009|

First begin your massage strokes slowly on the back, a hand on either side of the spine. Lean weight into hands as they move downward continuing to the base of spine. Move hands to the pelvic and hip bone area, make circles at the hips. Bring along ribs to shoulders, let your hands cup the bones. Let fingers trace the muscles, lift  tissue gently and follow curve of neck to head. Make small circles with fingers along scalp.

Repeat stroke explained above a few times along the back. Use oil on back to allow a better massage but not so much that its slippery. Alternate hands as you move them down, shifting weight to each hand. This creates a variation of pressure. Move down the arms giving them squezzes as you move to fingertips.

Always make sure you complete the movement with firm contact, this massage is meant to be slow and sensual. Finish by moving to head, repeating small circles all over scalp. Move over the head and gently pull at the roots, combing the fingers through the hair.Try this out on your loved one and I would love to hear feedback if this works and how they liked it.

BACHELOR PREMIERE: On the Wings of Love

January 4, 2010

the newest season of the bachelor is tonight and ladies the bachelor is a special pick this time and one that I’m thrilled to have, hes a gentleman, a romantic and quite the hottie. Yes you know who I’m talking about its JAKE from last season. The pilot that stole our hearts and flew off it them. now its his turn to find true love, and from the sources I have hes found the one and now we get to see who he picks.

for the next several weeks instead f this being media monday it will be bachelor monday, I will have a review of the episode from the previous monday.  and will look forward t your predictions and thoughts from the episode. As you know I did a feature on the past bachelor’s and bachlorettes which can be found here http://angelretreat.wordpress.com/media-monday/  (its the 3rd feature down)

Jake Palveka is the newest bachelor, we first met him on the last season with Jillian. He was a top contender and I thought he would be the one but Wes fooled Jillian and Jake was sent packing. He could have just let her find out on her own what a scumbag Wes was how he was only out for his career and not for her. Jake was a gentleman and came back to warn her and save her heart.  Jake is a pilot and flight instructor from Texas and is 31. He has two brothers and happily married parents. He attended the University of North Texas and Embry Engineering University for Aerospace Science.

This current selection of bachelorettes include : Teachers,Captain with National Guard,Pilot, Homemaker,Models,Nanny etc. The ladies range from 23-31 with the majority of them being 25 (9 of them are this age ) and 8 of the ladies from california.

Am I seeing a trend her I mean there are only 2 ladies above the age of 30 , do the producers not think he wants someone his own age so they tip the scales by going young. There are also two women from canada and the rest are from the states, not a single lady is from texas. In season pasts they put a few women in there from the bachelor’s home state. The closest this season goes in Oklahoma.

My picks based on looks and the infomation given are the following, I will have made changes to this next week :

ALI – advertising accounts manager CA 25

                                                                                                          CORRIE- wardrobe consultant AL 23

                                                                                                          ELIZABETH  nanny CA 29

JESSIE  cosmetic sales manager CAN 25

                                                                                                          ROZLYN  makeup artist VA 29

                                                                                                          TIANA  medical tech CAN 31

I gave my pics go to the gallery of bachelorettes and let me know your picks for this season, don’t forget its on tonight ABC 8-10..

Staring out 2010 clutter free

January 1, 2010

each new year is a time to start fresh and what a better way to do that then to work on that clutter thatn collected last year, I know I have a ton of it upstars to go through this weekend. here some helpful information I gathered about how to beat the clutter.  These are just summerized and peices of the articles, click on the links for the full articles.

Remove Life’s Clutter-Nancy Williams CBN

Organizing experts advise us to clear out the clutter in our closets to make room for those treasures that will remain, and then let go of those things that are not of value. Taking our personal inventory may also identify emotional clutter we need to clear away: disappointments, hurts, unmet goals, broken promises, and unfulfilled dreams. If left unattended, they take up space in our minds and hearts where peace and joy want to reside. It’s time to repair what needs to be repaired and set aside what needs to be set aside, to make ready for the fresh start that is waiting as the new year unfolds.

10 TIPS TO REDUCE CLUTTER- Simple Organized Life Blog

1. Have a place for everything 2. When you bring something new home try to get rid of one thing 3. Use Boxes 4.Craiglist, Amazon and Ebay are your friends 5.Purge twice a year 6. Start small 7.unsubscribe from magazines and catalogs 8. Buy multi function products 9. Put stuff in storage till needed 10. make lists

Dealing with Bedroom Clutter- ezarticles

The bed is for rest and sleep. Your clothes have no business lying on the bed for days. Nor are other items supposed to be parked there. A bed full of stuff is uninviting. You want your bed to call to you and be comfortable for you. Remember, you need sleep, your things don’t.

Classify your clothes into 3 catagories: Never worn and haven’t been worn for ages and those that can no longer fit. These clothes have to be given away to charity, a family member or a friend. You can even sell some of them for extra cash.Might still be useful. Do not hang this type of clothing. Keep them in a storage box. If you still haven’t worn them after 6 months, then maybe they should go, too.Regularly worn. With the remaining clothes that you swear you wear regularly, you can now organize these according to type (skirts, pants, shirts, etc.) and color.

Christmas 2009

December 31, 2009

This story begins this last week getting ready for christmas, decorations needed to be done and leading up to putting up the tree on christmas eve, yes we procrastinated but this year we were behind schedule. So after fiquring out the lights which include 4 sets of lights and doing away with garland. it was time for the ornaments which I placed on by myself. It was an accomplishment to do the tree all on my own.

Christmas Eve service was a beatiful event and I treasure my family and my faith, its the thought that counts with the gift not the cost or what the gift is. Be grateful for what you have and the loved ones you get to be near. There may be a time when family is far away or not with us, and its these memories were making now that will make us smile later.

I’ve been working God’s blessed me this holiday season with 3 jobs overlapping each other, till new years eve. At first I had 1 job that was two weeks and then another and another came up and I was needed by my clients so now I am working this holiday season but I’m not complaining, I love my job. Here’s my cousin Jesse and me.

Christmas I went up with my family to my cousins house, saw my cousins a few I hadn’t seen in a few years and it was a wonderful holiday, a time of togetherness and fun. Christmas is a day of blessings and I hope your day was blessed too.

Baby Fever

December 2, 2009

Yesterday was been a rollarcoaster for me, my best friend announced on facebook last night she was going into labor around 7 pm and I got all excited well time went on and still nothing and this morning I called just to get voicemail, this was getting me worried. Well around 4pm i got the news that she was resting but no baby yet from her mom. That was a relief and well currently as I’m writing this shes in operation for C-section due to the baby not coming.

Libby is my best friend and I am so happy for her and Jason, I’ve known her since 2000 in college and I met Jason a few months before they were engaged and then they married in December. He is the perfect match for her outdoorsy, strong in his faith and a wonderful husband. I just know they are going to make great parents. They already have a new home with a decorated nursery  just waiting for their baby girl to arrive.

Welcome to the World

Goodbye RedSky

November 30, 2009

Today is a sad day at least for me and my friends it is. Our favorite and only town cafe  closed its doors tonight. Tommarow will be our first Tuesday not meeting there. Red Sky Cafe in Stockbridge is a cherished place in town that will be missed by alot of people.

Yes I do confess that before this time I did go to the competitor in town GO BREW until it closed a year ago. They were a great place too but closed to the economy. That an Red Sky was a better cafe and drew in the people to their business.

My friend Robyn invited me last year to join her group of friends for coffee, they are all married with kids. At first it was awkward but over this last yeah they have become my friends and I can’t picture not meeting up with them for our Tuesday coffee. Its a time that we relax and be ourselves. Its a time for laughter, stories and just being friends.

Red Sky has been our hangout and we will truely miss it, hope you enjoy the photos from there

I’m thankful this year for my friends: Robyn, Kristie, January, Becca, Diane, Christine and Crystal.
