Bachelor Premiere On the wings of Love
the newest season of the bachelor is tonight and ladies the bachelor is a special pick this time and one that I’m thrilled to have, hes a gentleman, a romantic and quite the hottie. Yes you know who I’m talking about its JAKE from last season. The pilot that stole our hearts and flew off it them. now its his turn to find true love, and from the sources I have he’s found the one and now we get to see who he picks.
Jake Palveka is the newest bachelor, we first met him on the last season with Jillian. He was a top contender I thought he would be the one but Wes fooled Jillian and Jake was sent packing. He could have just let her find out on her own what a scumbag Wes was how he was only out for his career and not for her. Jake was a gentleman and came back to warn her and save her heart. Jake is a pilot and flight instructor from Texas and is 31. He has two brothers and happily married parents. He attended the University of North Texas and Emery Engineering University for Aerospace Science.
This current choice of bachelorettes include : Teachers,Captain with National Guard,Pilot, Homemaker,Models,Nanny etc. The ladies range from 23-31 with the majority of them being 25
(9 of them are this age ) and 8 of the ladies from california.
Am I seeing a trend her I mean there are only 2 ladies above the age of 30 , do the producers not think he wants someone his own age so they tip the scales by going young. There are also two women from Canada and the rest are from the states, not a single lady is from texas. In season pasts they put a few women in there from the bachelor’s home state. The closest this season goes in Oklahoma.

Nice is the one word that summarizes this year’s bachelor, he puts his heart on his sleeve and starts intense hoping for a future and then having it go wrong, according to jake this was where he goes wrong and it never goes past date 1. This seemed to be the problem of one bachelorette Michelle, she was way to intense for me. ( even so much as to tear up after just meeting him and talking about their future together, yet he gave her a rose. ) maybe he saw some of himself in her.
Out of my original predictions 5 out of the 6 I picked were chosen by our bachelor. I also added some other favorites based on what i saw. Tiana unfortunatly was sent home. I also now like the other Elizabeth,Ella, and Ashleigh. each of the women had their special moments with Jake.
Ali was adorable in flowing yellow dress and she tripped and ripped it which as so real life and a unexpected moment that you couldn’t help but like her and her flaws. She reminds me of the average woman, just out to find the right guy and not claiming to be anything she isn’t. Ashleigh was another cute bachelorette, she had an awkward moment to start withwhere she collied with the bachelor, it was so cute and she is beautiful. He caught her and it was a perfect moment .
My favorite bachelorette was Tenley, she kissed him and even when she apologized for it he thought it was sweet and he gave her the first impression rose. So sometimes going for the kiss gets you the right result. When she got teary eyed at the fact that she had not let him kiss her first it was endearing to watch, but after she got the rose she was again being pursued by him.
Of course I can’t forget to mention to surprise guests Jillian and her pick from last season Ed, they helped the bachelor by interviewing the ladies then giving him the report. Which was pretty much what I had thought about the women.
The following ladie’s’ were given roses: Elizabeth, Vienna, Christina, Ashley E., Kathryn, Jessie, Ella Ali , Gia ,Rozlyn , Corrie, Valisha ,and Ashleigh.
This week’s episode was filled with drama but lets save that for the end of the blog and focus on the good news instead of the bad things that happened. There were two group dates and an individual date. The lucky winner of the single date was Ali, one of my favorite girls in the house. He took her on a plane ride and helped her get over her fear of flying. I think that was awesome that he did that, although the song in the background was kind of cheesy. They arrived at their destination and went to a private dinner ending in a concert by Chicago ( was it just me or was anyone else visualizing his date with Jillian and there concert with Martina McBride?)

There were two groups dates the first group did a photo shoot with InStyle Magazine and poor christina let her insecurities get the best of her and damage her impact on the bachelor. Of course there were those girls who were too confident and manipulative. If anyone subscribes to this magazine there supposed to be in an issue of the magazine photos from the bachelor shoot.
The other group date was to an amusement park and it’s here we see Elizabeth’s stalking ways. she totally manipulated his time and tried to act all innocent, even going as far as to say I don’t want you to kiss me unless I’m the last one (well honey if he doesn’t pick you which I don’t think he will, you aren’t getting kissed at all)
Now for the big drama, Rozlyn cheated on Jake with a staffer of the bachelor, got called out on it tried to turn it on the other girls and got kicked out. This was low and she deserved to go home. She knew full well that she was cheating yet she did it anyway and I don’t feel sorry for her. Also I’m not sure why he kept michelle but thats his choice.
The girls he picked to stay are : Tenely,Ali,Elizabeth,Valisha,Corrie,Michelle,Gia,Vienna,Ashleigh,Kathryn and Jessie
(The bachelor posts will now be moved to Tuesdays the day after the new episode comes out so its more recent. hopefully this will get more visits on those days)After all the drama of last week it’s no surprize that there is more drama with the name Michelle. I had said from the start this girl was trouble, but yet our bachelor decided to keep her around. Well this week he learned his lesson, that she’s obsessed with him and he sent her packing on the group date. She claimed to the girls she wanted children and wanted to be serious, then she made the mistake of demanding a kiss and complaining about it cause it wasn’t good enough.
The some of the women were funny, although many of them have an issue with Vienna. Sure she showed a sweet side at the date but she has a way of saying too much and she’s too young to deal with the other women. It’s wrong when they stack the deck of women the majority being 25. The date she went on with date was good in that they shared a life altering experience of bungee jumping off a bridge.
I was able to be vulnerable and she was strong ,I saw a nurturing side to her. we were both scared of heights Jake
The other personal date went to Ella who I am becoming fond of, she’s a mother and a caring woman who seems to have genuine affection for Jake. It was great that Jake brought her son for the date to share in her birthday. I’m not a mother yet but I’m sure there’s never been a birthday she has been apart from her son, she seems like an excellent mother.
Tenley was able to tell Jake about her past, that her husband left her broken-hearted and he was the only man she’s ever love, he claims he felt closer to her after that. She is my favorite and I love them together. Lastly heres Jake’s interview on the Jimmy Kimmel Show
Last night episode was full of surprises, including 4 eliminations which included one of my favorites. My girls are safe so I am happy but I still don’t see why he kept Vienna
They all went on a road trip up the california coast in RV’s which I think is an awesome idea and looked like fun. Their first stop was a vineyard and Gia won the first solo date. Now I can see why he likes her but I’m not convinced she’s the one for him. She’s defiantly better than a few of the girls. The girls weren’t convinced she would make it, being a city girl. surprisingly she made out great and has the makings of a country girl, well part-time at least
The next stop on the trip was a beach and the group date, they went driving on the beach in buggy the girls got sandy and had fun. It was so cute seeing Jake tumble-down the sand with Tenley.those two are perfect together and later that night he had his head in her lap and they shared a kiss. I predict she will be in the last two or at least final 3, they have a strong connection.
The last date saw controversy when he sent home both Ella and Katherine, which was a shock to the girls making them see how serious he was on finding a wife. I mean I admire his choice although I thought he was good with Ella but I think having a kid did her in and Kathryn it just didn’t seem to click with her
The rose ceremony brought more drama, he sent home Jessie ( the girl tattled on vienna which means elimination usually, the last girl who did that got sent home) and Ashleigh who I liked since the start. Don’t worry girl within a month you both will have dates lined up around the block. The biggest shocker was he kept Vienna, at first I was on her side but after this show I am not a fan of her ( she’s already claiming she’s going to marry him )
This week was an amazing episode, mostly because Jake and Tenley had their first solo date together and they are getting closer. I have admitted in the past that shes my favorite so thats no suprize.
The girls arrived in San Francisco( which happens to be where Ali is living ) and stayed in a fancy hotel. They went on 3 solo dates and one double date which Gia and Vienna got to share.The best date was Tenley and Jake, I just love these two together as they explored Chinatown and wrote each other fortune cookies that both said kiss me. She passed all his questioning and he admitted he was falling in love with her.

The 2nd solo date was with Corrie, and while they did look nice together I didn’t see much of a spark between them ( I mean it too half the date just to kiss her). Then she goes and announces she won’t live or sleep with a guy till marriage ( I am so proud of her for that because I am waiting also ). all this added up together got her sent home.
The double date was Gia and Vienna in a castle , Vienna needs to learn to let Jake breathe a bit and have his time with Gia instead of hogging in on their alone time. I admire Jake for sending her back upstairs when she snuck down to be with him. Yes Vienna stays another week, can anyone tell me why she is still here, sure she has her moments but the other women are better suited for him.
The final date was with Ali, she showed him around her city. He picked out flowers for her and they walked by the harbour. When the topic of Vienna came up Ali was a bit flustered but then recovered. My picks for the top 2 girls are Tenley and Ali. These two seem to be the best matches with him.
This week was hometown week and time for the bachelor to go meet the families of the four girls he picked. There were a few that stood out while the others kinda flopped in my opinion.
Next was Ali, who showed him around her hometown including taking him to her grandmother’s house. Yes I know this was sweet but it was a little creepy ( am i the only one who thought that ), she defiantly has a great family and I can see Jake fitting right in with them.
Third was my favorite Tenley, I know many of you think that her dance was cheesy but she was showing him a piece of her life one of her loves and that takes courage. My favorite part was when Jake asked the father for permission to marry his daughter if it came to that. I so see a future for these two. Its my prediction that she will be in the last 2 women.
Finally down to Florida to see Vienna, the dad was a bit to protective ( oh yeah I’ll be right outside your door sweetie and I got upset cause you hugged the dog before me). Yes we get that you’re an outdoor lover but the boat ride just didn’t work for me. I predict that either Vienna or Gia will be the next to go home.
Our biggest drama of the night was Ali’s choice she had to choose between Jake and work, that’s a tough choice from anyone LOVE OR CAREER. I just hope wonder if she will end up like ED who left for work then Jillian took him back after he realized how wrong he was ( anyone else see that similarity )

Jake brought his last 3 ladies to the island of Saint Lucia for the overnight dates which each were different in their own way with lots of adventures. He faced a hard choice and made the right choice then chose the two ladies he wanted to possibly marry, and that’s all in one trip. Good thing he gets an extra week to make his choice ..
The worst date in my opinion was on a pirate boat with Vienna, they goofed around and then had dinner followed by the fantasy suite, she put on a nighty which i thought was kinda tacky but Jake loved it. He admits that he’s fallen for the two other women and yet he still chooses her as part of the last two.
Gia had a very nice date with Jake but the reason she was sent home is because she’s shy and not bold enough to show her emotions and fight for her man, which the other two did tell jake they loved him. Jake wanted to take care of Gia which was sweet then they shared a bubble bath in the fantasy suite.
The best date was with Tenley who did make it to the last two just as I predicted at the start of this series. Jake feels that she would bring joy to home and family and he would have such a blessed life with her. He shared his passion of flying with her and they danced under the stars.
Despite Ali’s best effort on the phone Jake did not allow her to come back which I think was fair to the other ladies and to her and I admire him for that choice.
This week marks the end of the bachelor series it has been an incredible journey filled with ups and downs, moments of love and loss. I hope you have enjoyed the series with me. Although Jake did not pick the girl I wanted I wish him and his choice love and happiness.
Jake brought both women to meet his family, mom and dad , his brothers and sister in-laws. First up was Tenley , she made a very good impression with the parents, the father even claimed he had met his future daughter in law and she wowed the mom. She spoke sincerely and from the heart and it showed how much she loved Jake. What parent wouldn’t want that for their son.
Their date brought them closer yet it raised red flags in that he claimed he didn’t feel a physical bond between them but that the emotional connection was amazing. We should have guessed right there she wasn’t his choice. But like many others we love Tenley and wanted the best for her and Jake.
Next he brought Vienna over and from the start it was chaos, his mother went up in arms protecting her son and the sister in laws didn’t care much about her either. She was able to win them all over in the end. Their date she gave her promise ring from her father to him along with a note, this I thought was sweet.
If you have watched any past season of the bachelor you know the first one to arrive is always the one that gets sent home. unfortnatly that first copter was Tenley and he sent her home broken-hearted. She handled it beautifully and with grace, I’m sure there is a guy out there who will adore and love her the way she should be.
Vienna is the girl Jake choose and although america is not happy with that choice, at least from what I heard from friends on facebook. I am happy for both of them and I wish the new bachelorette Ali the best on finding her dream man.
